The Milleridge Inn

In Jericho, Long Island there is a really old restaurant called the Milleridge Inn. My godmother works there and my cousins hang out there and like to go to the restaurant’s candy shop, the toy store, and the bakery.

Well, there was a woman who came to the restaurant a lot and then died nearby. People say they can see her walking around in the upstairs of the restaurant and on the grounds.

One day while my cousins were up hanging out and eating cinnamon bread that they bought from the bakery, they heard faint footsteps. Then they looked up and saw a lady dressed in gossamer white. She was in a party dress and was walking and walking.

My cousins tried talking to her and she would just moan. My cousins ran downstairs and described her and people would normally not believe it, but they did because it is known as an old folktale.

I am always afraid when I go there. But somehow I never see her. That is the story of the Milleredge Inn.

Moving out

Ty, the Milleridge Inn is still in business! My relatives still work and hang out there. Thanks to everyone who reads and likes my story! It's been a dream of mine to become an author and with your encouragement and help it may come true!

I've heard of this too. I love the Mileradge, as I live nearby. I never saw the woman, but I was hoping to! Unfortunately, it's out of business now, so we'll see what moves in there next.
