Long Beach Ghost

One dead hot evening on one of Long Island’s beaches, my mom and my dog Rocky and I were relaxing and having a picnic. We were at Long Beach and it was a beautiful, but very hot night. Suddenly, I felt like I was being watched, but not by my mom or Rocky and a cold shiver ran down my back.
Later, I set my kite up and put sticks and rocks to hold it down, but I knew it wasn’t going to fly because there was no breeze. Nada, no wind, it was just hot and humid. But out of nowhere the kite went up and started to fly just as if the wind blew it.
Then Rocky started barking and growling for no reason. Or is he? Could this be possible? Is there a ghost? My mom said I was crazy, but was confused at how the kite could fly with no wind. And then I felt shivers run down my back again.
That night I slept in the car because we were staying until the next day and we didn’t want to go to a hotel. My mom slept in a hammock while Rocky slept on a heavy cotton blanket (lucky him). Once I got comfortable, the horn of the car started beeping. It honked 7 short times and then stopped. I couldn’t sleep and my teeth clattered.
Later on a figure of a girl came in sight and she cried, “Help me!” as she walked right through the car. Then another figure appeared and dragged her to the ocean.
And that is my story of the Long Beach ghost.
