Ghost Dog

I use to live in the Searingtown on Long Island (exit 36 off of the Long Island Expressway.)

When I was in high school we had this dachshund named Sandy who lived to be 17 years old. When he died in the house we buried him in the backyard.

Soon afterwards our other dog started to stare at the fireplace where Sandy use to make himself comfortable. A couple of neighbors soon asked if we had bought another dachshund. We told them that all we had was his hairy mutt. They claimed to have seen a dachshund in the backyard.

We moved in 1989, but that was not the end. We learned before moving to Florida that the house had been sold three times.

According to some people who still lived in the neighborhood past and current owners complained of mysterious odors, and some even claimed that they've heard the sounds of a small dog walking across the tiled floors, and the jingling of a dog's collar.

Not sure what is happening

Lost my Chihuahua 2wks ago-my neighbor who always bothered and hated my dog-spent everyday by my fence bothering my dog-I had already spoken to his wife about it. I had 2 Chihuahua's on my back yard when I left the house for a little bit-one of my dogs has been missing. Since my dog has been missing I have not seen the neighbor out there at all these past 2wks like he used to be daily. Which is strange.
I walked to my back yard the other day with the dog I have left and saw a big gray dog just staring at us but would not move. Few days later I take my dog out again and that big gray dog was on my back yard and when my little Chihuahua went after it-the gray dog jumped over the fence to the neighbors house who hated my lost dog. Then I grabbed my little dog and cannot see where the gray dog dissappeared to. No one in my family has ever seen this gray dog only me and my little chihuahua-Not sure what is going on.

The tough question.

In past years, I had also left buried pets behind at whatever house it was that they had died in. I sometimes wonder if unsuspecting new owners had accidentally disturbed my pet's remains. I, therefore, had my last dog cremated. She is safe on my dresser, as we speak.
